What generation of Cybermen is that?

These Cybermen are the very first original design, commonly known to the harder core of Classic Whovians as the Type I or CyberMondasian. This type has only appeared on television once, in the 1966 Doctor Who serial "The Tenth Planet" [link] - which was the very last story of the very first Doctor, and incidentally the first story ever to feature a regeneration sequence, with Patrick Troughton taking over the role from William Hartnell. Despite there being only one TV appearance of this CyberType, the design featured in a number of Doctor Who comic strips such as "Flower Power" [link] in TV Comic circa 1966/7 and "Junk Yard Demon" in Doctor Who Magazine (with "Junk Yard Demon II featuring in the Marvel Doctor Who Yearbook 1996) [link] - not to mention being further explored on audio by Big Finish in the audio dramas "Spare Parts" [link](Doctor_Who) and "The Silver Turk" [link]

That's really cool. Thanks for all the information. I will definitely be watching The Tenth Planet tomorrow.

Glad I could help.

Sadly Episode 4 of The Tenth Planet is missing from the Doctor Who archive, rendering the story incomplete by one episode :( The BBC did do a patchy reconstruction with short clips, photo stills and the original soundtrack, but the good news is that the BBC has announced that by the end of this year the story will be released on DVD complete, its missing episode restored through animation!

That is so COOL! I thought I saw the episode on Dailymotion, but I must have been mistaken if it's missing. Or that's the patchy reconstruction of it.

Could be, or else Aaron Climas's fabulous CGI reconstruction, which sadly has pretty much been pulled off the Internet these days and is much sought after.

For a moment I tried to remember which episode this is taken from. ;)
Very good job.

Woooo! Thankings! My dad said it looked disturbingly realistic too :D

It does. I guess it's more difficult to create realistic looking scenes with the doctor in them as the doctor figures don't look really organic. So scenes with just cybermen and daleks probably turn out realistic more easily. :D

Yeah that's pretty much the concensus among the small group I belong to of people who do this kind of art with action figures.
