Oh hang on just got the gist of what you were saying... god I need sleep ha. No the only Dalek you see in the Space Museum is an empty casing (empty but for when the Doctor hides in it, that is) and as far as I recall its eyestalk was correctly aligned and it looked quite healthy for a museum exhibit. The "eyestalk up" death pose is more reminiscent of the very first Dalek story, The Daleks (sometimes called The Dead Planet or The Mutants by certain of older fans).
Well yeah this is Classic Doctor Who, and therefore it isn't influenced by the personal bias of Russell T Davies. The so-called "Cybermen" of the new series are inferior reproductions of the genuine article, which could quite easily whip the Daleks. Even floaty Daleks have reduced mobility without the advantage of arms and legs, making the job of targeting an enemy a bit trickier. Cybermen are as manouvreable as humans per se, and lots of humans have succeeded in destroying Daleks in the past, so the proper Cybermen should honestly have it pretty easy.
Fair point through personally I seen nearly as equals in terms of both strength and weakness. Through even I admit it was silly that a gold coin killed 3 cyberman by Ace even if was awesome. Also don't forgt the daleks did have the ablity to hover and fly in the old series so it wasn't exaxclty a new thing for them. Really looking forward to the next series it got the return of the ice warriors
